Six decades later, Dick Van Dyke still remembers all the words to a certain Mary Poppins tongue twister.

On Sunday, the legend of stage and screen embraced nostalgia for a good cause, treating a crowd of fans to a sing-along performance of “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.” The 99-year-old didn’t dust off his dancing shoes for the number, but was lively from his onstage seat as he sang all the twisty lyrics to the beloved tune.
As the chimney sweep to Julie Andrews’ magical nanny, Van Dyke first sang the song in the 1964 classic, and has reprised it many times over the years to the delight of Mary Poppins’ millions of fans.
The latest performance took place as part of Vandy Camp, an event hosted by Van Dyke and his wife, Arlene Silver, at Aviator Nation Dreamland in Malibu, Calif., to raise money for the Los Angeles Emergency Preparedness Foundation (LAEPF) Community Brigade.

And Van Dyke didn’t just stop at one Mary Poppins tune: the event also saw him perform several beloved songs from his repertoire, including the theme for The Dick Van Dyke Show, which earned a raucous applause from the crowd.
