Vance Slams CBS Host Brennan For Trying To Smear Tulsi Gabbard

Vice President J.D. Vance defended Tulsi Gabbard’s nomination for Director of National Intelligence against CBS anchor Margaret Brennan’s criticism.

During an interview, Brennan cited conservative publications like The Wall Street Journal and National Review, which had criticized Gabbard’s views on Edward Snowden and Assad. Vance shot back, dismissing these outlets, saying they had “lost relevance” and that the American people, not the media, decide who serves in the president’s cabinet. He highlighted Gabbard’s military background and impeccable record, arguing she could restore trust in U.S. intelligence services, which he claimed had become politicized. Despite Brennan’s continued challenges, Vance stood firm, emphasizing Gabbard’s qualifications. Gabbard appears to have the votes for confirmation, with Senators Lisa Murkowski and Bill Cassidy expressing support.
