OVER THE MOON: Fox News stars Hillary Vaughn and Peter Doocy share Baby News AGAIN – Grandpa Steve Doocy shouts, ‘Is it a Boy or a Girl this time?’
Fox News correspondents Hillary Vaughn and Peter Doocy’s family just got bigger after the couple welcomed their son George Jack Doocy on Wednesday in Washington, DC.
The couple took to Instagram to announce the sweet news.
“Meet George Jack Doocy! Born after 30 hours of labor at 8lb, 11oz and 20.5 inches long – on our fourth wedding anniversary,” the post read. “So thank you, son, for being the reason I’ll never forget to get your mom a card when I’m grabbing a birthday card for you!”

Along with making his entrance into the world on his parents’ anniversary, his timing also marked another monumental occasion.
George was born on Tax Day.
Vaughn, 35, was reporting on the IRS for the holiday on Capitol Hill when she made her way to her routine OB appointment.
During her visit, the Fox Business anchor was told that her second child “was ready to come out.”
“Maybe he was tired of hearing me talk about taxes,” Vaughn teased to People. “I don’t blame him!”

Labor was no small feat. As the journalist explained, she went through over a day of labor.
“30 hours of labor later – George made his grand entrance to the world,” Vaughn said. “I’m glad Peter took care of our taxes early this year!”
Vaughn and Doocy, 37, are also parents to daughter Bridget, 2, so she’s thrilled to now also be a “boy mom.”

“There is a learning curve – never let your guard down during diaper changes otherwise you’ll be ‘baptized!’”
“It has been such a blessing to welcome our son to this world and it is just as special to see Bridget welcome her baby brother George,” Vaughn noted about her little ones’ bond. “Growing our family means giving our kids lifelong best friends and as a new heartbeat fills our home, our hearts are filled with more love than ever before.”
Doocy revealed that Bridget was “the person who came closest to guessing when George would arrive” and “was also the first person to sing ‘Happy Birthday’ to him in the hospital.”
