Kristin Cavallari shared that she decided to get a second boob job after discovering that one of the implants put in during her first surgery had ruptured, saying, “It was f–ked up!”
Kristin Cavallari is coming clean about a scary experience.
The Laguna Beach alum had to get a second boob job after discovering one of the implants from her first procedure had ruptured, she shared during the May 27 episode of her Let’s Be Honest podcast.
“Something in me was telling me to redo my boobs,” Kristin recalled of the days leading up to the discovery. “My intuition was saying, ‘Redo your boobs. Go get your boobs checked out. At least get a consultation. At least go down this road.'”
After making an appointment with her plastic surgeon, the 38-year-old quickly realized her worry was coming from a real place.
“When he saw my boobs, he definitely seemed a little concerned, particularly about my right one,” she continued. “And he asked me if I’ve had any issues with it, if it’s changed over the years.”
At the time, Kristin confessed to feeling as though her breasts “were not laying how I wanted them to lay,” but told her doctor that she couldn’t pinpoint exactly when that happened following the 2014 birth of her and ex Jay Cutler‘s 10-year-old son Jaxon.
“He gets in there, and I have a ruptured implant,” she explained. “And there is no way of knowing how long this implant was ruptured for.”
Luckily, Kristin’s body had “formed a huge piece of scar tissue around” the rupture, which she noted “holds it all in place” and is “your body’s way of protecting itself.”
“That’s definitely why my right boob was not laying right,” she said. “It was f–ked up! I had a ruptured implant, which is crazy to think about.”
However, since The Hills alum—who also shares kids Camden, 12, and Saylor, 9, with Jay—caught the rupture before it caused any serious damage and she “wasn’t ready” to have her implants removed entirely, she decided to undergo the surgery for a second time, this time opting to go a little bigger.
“I’m still young, I have a whole life to live, I’m single,” Kristin explained. “If I were in a long-term relationship, maybe I would take out my implants. I don’t know. But I’m single right now. Right now in my life is when I need the best boobs imaginable.”
And now that she’s had her plastic surgery redo, the reality TV personality has zero regrets—especially after breastfeeding three kids. As she put it, “Kids will ruin your boobs.”
“I’m gonna be honest with you guys: Doing my boobs is one of the best things I’ve ever done,” Kristin confessed. “I love being able to not wear a bra in a shirt, and I love when I take my shirt off when I’m in a relationship.”
She added, “I feel really good about myself.”
