Rani Rose is ready to be almost famous.
Kate Hudson‘s 6-year-old daughter—who she shares with fiancé Danny Fujikawa—proved she’s taking after the actress in more ways than one, channeling Kate’s iconic role as Penny Lane in the 2000 movie Almost Famous.
In a May 25 Instagram video, Rani Rose coordinated with her mom in bohemian outfits at an outdoor picnic area before lip syncing to one of Penny Lane’s best lines.
“I always tell the girls never take it seriously,” Rani mouthed, “if you never take it seriously you never get hurt, if you never get hurt you always have fun.”
And Kate—holding a glass of white wine while rocking cowboy boots and aviator shades to go with her floral minidress—clearly approved of her daughter’s impression, raising her hands in the air and giving a sweet smirk to the camera.
And her friends couldn’t help but notice the resemblance between the mother-daughter duo.
“Oh my HEART just burst into a million little bubbles!” Reese Witherspoon commented, while Audrina Patridge added, “So cute!! She’s your mini.”
While Kate—who also shares son Ryder Robinson, 21, with ex-husband Chris Robinson and Bingham Bellamy, 13, with Matt Bellamy—doesn’t often post videos with her kids, she has recently shared insight into how she and her daughter share a special bond when it comes to fashion.
“My son is going to be 21 in two days, so I don’t know where he is,” Kate told Entertainment Tonight in January. “My other one is 13, so he’s locked himself in his bedroom. So, it really is Rani, who is picking apart everything and making sure I wore the right necklace.”
And Rani has been been a style icon ever since she was a toddler. In fact, Rani proved she was runway-ready when serving looks at home when she was just 3 years old.
“I know NYFW is currently happening east coast BUT it’s a daily thing over here guys,” Kate wrote on Instagram in February 2022, alongside a pic of Rani’s outfits. “And the makeup obsession is hard to stop…tears when she can’t raid my makeup drawer. Oh boy.”
