Savannah Chrisley said she learned her parents Todd Chrisley and Julie Chrisley would be pardoned in their legal case when President Donald Trump called her during an outing to Sam’s Club.
Savannah Chrisley got the call of a lifetime when she least expected it.
Hours after President Donald Trump phoned the Chrisley Knows Best alum to tell her that he would be pardoning her parents Todd Chrisley and Julie Chrisley in their tax evasion and bank fraud case, she shared that she got the good news in the most unlikely place.
“The President called me personally as I was walking into Sam’s Club and notified me that he was signing pardon paperwork for both of my parents,” the 27-year-old said in a video posted on Instagram May 27. “So both my parents are coming home tonight or tomorrow and I still don’t believe it’s real. I’m freaking out.”
Savannah also shared how she and her siblings Chase Chrisley, 28, and Grayson Chrisley, 19, are preparing for their parents’ imminent homecoming.
“We’re getting some clothes together for mom and dad, getting their room put together upstairs,” she said. “I’m just speechless.”
Shortly after the pardon was announced, Savannah spoke out about the president’s act of goodwill toward her mom and her dad, who also shares kids Lindsie Chrisley, 35, and Kyle Chrisley, 33, with his ex-wife Teresa Terry.
“For the past two and a half years, I’ve done everything in my power to fight for my parents’ freedom and bring them home,” she said in a statement to E! News. “This moment is the answer to countless prayers, and I am beyond grateful to President Trump for seeing the truth and restoring my family.”
Savannah also noted that she intends to help others receive the same good fortune that she did.
“Today is a victory for our family, but the fight against wrongful convictions and injustice within our prison system is far from over,” she continued. “I will continue to use my voice and platform to advocate for those who do not have one.”
