A Change of Heart: The Story of Thomas and Giselle
Thomas, a wealthy widower in his early 50s, prided himself on being intelligent and charismatic. However, he despised those who mocked him behind his back, calling him “bald” or “potbellied.”
He had a habit of charming young women whenever he got the chance. Though not a full-time flirt, he never missed an opportunity to impress a beautiful lady. Among them was 20-year-old Giselle.
Giselle had recently lost her husband, Mason, the love of her life, and was struggling to survive. Desperate for work, she noticed a “We Are Hiring” sign outside Thomas’s eatery and applied for a dishwasher position. She was hired immediately and worked tirelessly to keep her job.
Her coworkers warned her about their boss’s behavior toward female staff, but Giselle paid no attention—she was focused on providing for herself.
An Unwelcome Encounter
One evening, as Giselle finished her shift and prepared to leave, Thomas blocked her path, holding a red rose.
“Do you know why I hired you, Miss Giselle?” he asked with a smirk.
“No, sir. Please excuse me, I need to get home,” she replied, trying to step past him.
“Don’t call me ‘sir.’ Call me Tom,” he insisted, inching closer.
