Zac Brown and Kendra Scott debuted their sweet romance on the American Music Awards red carpet May 26, one year after the Zac Brown Band frontman’s contentious divorce from Kelly Tazdi.

Zac Brown’s date night with Kendra Scott was better a than cold beer on a Friday night.

Indeed, the couple made their red carpet debut on the 2025 American Music Awards red carpet May 26, where the two hard-launched their romance while cozying up for the cameras.

“Hit the @amas with the best date by my side,” Kendra captioned her Instagram post moments after stepping off the carpet. “Ready to soak it all in and have some fun tonight!”

For the occasion, the jewelry designer, 51, donned a shiny silver gown with a scarf draped over one shoulder as well as dazzling silver jewelry to match. Meanwhile, the Zac Brown Band frontman, 46, sported a classic black suit and wide-brimmed hat.

And for Zac, this new romance marks his first relationship since his complicated breakup with Kelly Tazdi in December 2023, following only four months of marriage.

“We are in the process of divorce,” they announced with a joint statement to Billboard at the time. “Our mutual respect for one another remains. We wish each other the best and will always appreciate our time together. As we navigate this personal matter, we simply request privacy during this time.”

And while, at the time, the pair insisted that their relationship had ended amicably, Zac—who shares five kids with ex-wife Shelly Brown—later filed an emergency temporary restraining order to demand Kelly take down an Instagram post that he argued tarnished his public image.

In response, Kelly rebuked the lawsuit and didn’t hold back in defending herself in a scathing social media message.

“No one—not even Zac Brown with all of his money, power, celebrity, and lawyers,” she captioned a May 19 TikTok video, “may silence my right to freely express myself through art or, although I have to date declined to do so publicly, to speak about the circumstances of our pending divorce.”

And two weeks later, the Wild Ride founder went on to emphasize that she “will not be threatened or intimidated into submission” amid their very public divorce.

“If Zac continues to pursue his ill-fated quest for a court injunction to silence me, or again publicly defames me or accuses me of dishonesty,” Kelly wrote on Instagram last June, “I will meet him in court fully loaded with the truth about what has happened over the course of our relationship.”
