The US president’s special envoy to Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, said that Washington has presented a 22-point peace plan to resolve the Russia-Ukraine war and revealed the essence of the first point. This is a comprehensive ceasefire.
According to him, in Istanbul, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio “made it clear” that this is a “strong peace plan”, reports the Telegraph.
“Coming out of the London meetings, we (the US) came out with a 22-point comprehensive plan that is a framework for peace. The first point is a comprehensive ceasefire that stops the killing now”, wrote Kellogg.
And US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that President Donald Trump wants to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin as soon as possible, to advance peace talks in Ukraine.
He also said that the Vatican could become a venue for peace talks between Ukraine and Russia. Earlier, Pope Leo XIV proposed holding peace talks between Ukraine and Russia at the Vatican after a meeting in Istanbul failed to unite the main actors in the conflict.
