Chris Brown was arrested in the early hours of this morning at a five-star hotel in Manchester.

Police arrested Brown on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm to music producer Abe Diaw at the Tape nightclub in Mayfair, central London, in February 2023.

The American R&B star, 36, was arrested shortly after 2am at the Lowry Hotel.

Brown had travelled to Manchester airport on a private jet yesterday afternoon, possibly to begin rehearsals for his UK tour, which kicks off in Manchester on June 15.

The Sun contacted police after confirming Brown was in the area, asking if he would be arrested over the incident.

Metropolitan police investigators then travelled to Manchester to arrest the singer after receiving information.
