US President Donald Trump has reacted to India’s air strikes against Pakistan.
India launched missile strikes on at least three places in Pakistan-controlled territory, killing a child and wounding two others, according to Pakistani security officials, reports the Telegraph.
India said the “precision strike” targeted infrastructure used by militants, following last month’s deadly attack on tourists in Indian-administered Kashmir, which New Delhi blames on Pakistani-backed militants – a charge Islamabad denies.
Trump called the latest escalation between the two nuclear foes a “disgrace”.
“It’s a disgrace. We just heard about this as we walked through the doors of the Oval Office. They’ve been fighting for a long time. I just hope it ends very soon,” Trump said.
