Tragic Bus Crash in Manitoba Claims 15 Lives

A tragic accident in Manitoba, Canada, claimed at least 15 lives on Thursday. A bus carrying elderly passengers collided with a truck at an intersection near Carberry, about 170 kilometers west of Winnipeg.

The bus was en route to a casino when the collision occurred. Deputy Police Officer Rob Hill of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police confirmed the grim toll, adding that ten others are hospitalized.

Both the bus and truck drivers survived, though authorities have yet to determine the cause of the crash. Disturbing images from the scene show wreckage, including destroyed wheelchair seats and walking frames scattered among the tarpaulins covering the victims.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Manitoba Premier Heather Stefanson extended heartfelt condolences to the victims, their families, and those injured, expressing deep sympathy for all affected by the devastating event.
