A new Trump portrait has been unlocked in the White House.

A new portrait of President Donald Trump has been installed in the White House, replacing the previous official portrait of Barack Obama. This change marks a departure from longstanding tradition, which typically displays portraits of the two most recent presidents. The new painting depicts Trump raising his fist after surviving an assassination attempt during a July 2024 rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. The artist’s identity has not been publicly disclosed.

This installation is part of a broader redesign of the White House interiors, reflecting Trump’s personal style. He has enlisted John Icart, a cabinetmaker known for his work at Mar-a-Lago, to oversee the decorative revamp. This includes the addition of golden picture frames, gilded fireplace carvings, and a gold Trump crest in a doorway.

The White House has not commented on the changes, and the nonprofit White House Historical Association stated that the matter falls under the White House’s purview.
