Buying back her masters has long been one of Taylor Swift‘s wildest dreams.
It’s something Travis Kelce knows all too well, which is part of the reason the Kansas City Chiefs player is so elated for his girlfriend.
“Shout out to Tay Tay,” Travis said on the June 4 episode of New Heights. “Just bought all of her music back so it’s finally hers.”
The proud comment was sparked after Travis and Jason Kelce’s episode guest Shaquille O’Neal revealed that Taylor’s “I Knew You Were Trouble” is his “favorite song in the world.”
To which Travis aptly noted of the Red song, “Just got that song back, too.
But this isn’t the first time the 35-year-old gushed over his partner’s massive accomplishment. When Taylor first shared the exciting news to her social media accounts, Travis was among the first to like the post.
For her part, Taylor captioned the May 30 post—which had her posing with her albums Taylor Swift, Fearless, Speak Now, Red, 1989 and Reputation—“You belong with me. Letter on my site :)”
And indeed, once fans navigated to her website, the homepage bore a handwritten note from the Grammy winner announcing, “All of the music I’ve ever made now belongs…to me.”
Not just her music—also all her music videos, concert films, album art, associated photography and her entire vault of unreleased songs. As Taylor put it, “The memories. The Magic. The madness. Every single era. My entire life’s work.”

The accomplishment marked the end of a years-long battle for the Midnights artist, one that had only intensified after Scooter Braun’s label acquired her former label, Big Machine Records, in 2019. Scooter would eventually go on to sell the label to Shamrock Capital, which is where Taylor ultimately bought back her masters.
Throughout it all, her Swifties have been among Taylor’s biggest advocates for recovering her music—something that was not lost on the 35-year-old.
“To say this is my biggest dream come true is actually being pretty reserved about it,” she wrote on her website. “To my fans, you know how important this has been to me—so much so that I meticulously re-recorded and released 4 of my albums, calling them Taylor’s version. The passionate support you should those albums and the success story you turned The Eras Tour into is why I was able to buy back my music.”

She continued, “I can’t thank you enough for helping to reunite me with this art that I have dedicated my life to, but have never owned until now.”
